the difference between implantation & period??

i was supposed to start my period like tmr. i’ve been cramping a weekish prior and my boobs are somewhat sore to touch today. this morning i wiped and there was a little bright red blood on the toilet paper. i put on a panty liner and it’s been a few hours but there’s only a little blood on it. when i wipe there’s more bright red blood. i just started BC pills this month and i’ve had sex with condoms a few times and i just wanna make sure i’m not pregnant
