Anyone else whose parent always has an attitude / condescending tone?? I can't even ask him simple questions and have a simple conversation with him about ANYTHING. I've never been close to my dad because of that... he has zero patience. For example, I was literally about to announce that he was getting his first grandchild... we just finished eating and I'm trying to close the pizza box and he says, "GOD BECKY, IT'S JUST A PIZZA BOX." All my life, he has made me feel like a complete idiot. We had a heart to heart many many years ago about it where I opened up about it. He never changed. Never will. And when he comes to babysit my kid, he asks when he needs to come. I said tomorrow. He says it like, "NOOOO.... WHENNNNNN." And my mom then asks in a nice normal human being way the time instead of the day. Like My God. Because of him, I've never had confidence in my intelligence. I've always felt like I was never smart enough for anything. BECAUSE OF HIM. I hate my dad.
