Acupuncture for infertility?

Hi ladies,

Has anyone done acupuncture for unexplained infertility and in the lead up to waiting for <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">ivf</a>? Is this beneficial? And how often did you have it? Looks like this could be an expensive weekly treatment but willing to try anything if it helps. Thank you xx

Yes, I did it 3 months prior to my second egg retrieval. I think I responded better all around and I had lost weight from it. My lining was also much thicker. My recovery from the retrieval was much easier and I felt less effects from the meds. I think acupuncture helped me get much healthier all around 
My first retrieval. 10 eggs retrieved, 8 mature 
Second retrieval, 18 retrieved, 9 mature.
I’m now 8w4d from a fresh transfer.

I had two transfers. Second ended in a chemical. I decided to take a break. I have adenomyosis and was always in pain. I tried acupuncture for pain management, and ended up getting pregnant naturally! I do believe acupuncture helped. I’ve heard lots of ladies use it during ivf success also. Goodluck

I have heard really great things about acupuncture for infertility. I did acupuncture for about a year during infertility. It did help with some of my hormones and I enjoyed it, but it did not help me get pregnant. We conceived through IUI (3rd cycle). I was very strict about going right before treatment and after treatment day of…just like people do with IVF…but that cycle didn’t work for me. 
Overall, it could have helped us eventually conceive and maybe it does help other people, but it definitely wasn’t our ‘magic fix’
