Decongestant whilst pregnant

I have really painful sinuses and mucus needing cleared, went to my local pharmacy and asked them what I could have because I’m 6 weeks pregnant and she gave me pseudoephedrine, said it was fine during pregnancy and to take it twice a day, I checked the instruction label which said not suitable for pregnant women when I got home and googled it, I’d already taken one at this point. Called the pharmacy back and the pharmacist said it’s fine to take in every trimester, but a Google search says it’s not safe at all.. what ones the truth?
