Blighted ovum insight please

Went into for my confirmation ultrasound. Turns out there was just a gestational sac, no yolk no embryo. I’m suppose to be 7 weeks 5 days but the sac is measuring 5 weeks 3 days. Doctor scheduled me for a follow up ultrasound in 2 weeks. I’m certain it’s a brighted ovum. I have also started experiencing brown discharge when I wipe the last 2 days.

I guess my question is, did you pass everything on your own and when? Did you have to do a D&C? What was your experience?

I can’t imagine even waiting this out 2 more weeks until my ultrasound.
