Hydration vs Moisture
What’s the difference between hydration and moisture and why YOUR HAIR needs BOTH🌱
HYDRATION is all about absorption.
Hydration refers to the internal layers of hair. Think of it like drinking a big glass of water, and the moisture going INSIDE.
MOISTURE or moisturization is all about moisture retention; locking in that hydration to your inner most layer, the medulla, of your hair strand.
Think of it as taking a shower.
*when your hair is wet, the cuticle opens up and allows nutrients & vitamins to go beneath to cuticle layers of the hair which is why the quality of your haircare MATTERS!
Wrong products risk cuticle damage.
And, without hydration and moisture;
your hair shaft will more likely be open to damage; causing frizz, damage, breakage, no growth, dull color and mostly DRY hair!
Did you know?👇🏻
You can't have one without the other!
🌱without moisturization, your hydration isn't being locked in
if you are only moisturizing what are you sealing in…?
your healthy hair comes from BOTH!
Pro tip: Use a hydrating shampoo that has hyaluronic acid in it to pull the hydration into the hair strand.
Follow with a moisture hair masque to help lock in that moisture and nourish the hair strand. Look for ingredients like amino acid complex coconut oil, and almond oil.
