Enhanced DBS check!

Can someone please help me? my new employer sent off an enhanced DBS check over two weeks ago. stage 1, 2 and 3 were all completed within the same day. However, my DBS has now become stuck on stage 4 (with local police force). My employer is a little concerned as she has mentioned she has sent off multiple DBS’s within the last month that have been completed within 5 days. Should I be concerned?

I understand this may not be the platform to ask for help regarding this situation, however, I really need some advice. I am working Mum of a 14 month old. And I currently study at university full-time alongside work. The reason why I really need my DBS to come back quickly is because I am in such a toxic workplace and it is mentally draining. However, with being a mum and a full-time university student I physically cannot leave until I can start my new job. Can someone please spread some light on this?
