My hair color only shows in the sun or in certain places why?

My hair used to be like black brown I changed it to like a burgundy reddish color I got it done at a salon I mean I love it but sometimes in certain lights if it's dark u can't really see the color but if I'm in the sun it looks so nice lol like what the hell its all changing colors why does it do that?

Because it looks different depending on the lighting and what you wear. You didn't straight up color your hair red so it has different colored toned in it. My hair is a dark purple and it does that, it adds to the effect I think 💁

Different colors look different in certain lighting. It's how the light (or lack thereof) is refracting in the color cones in your eyes. Different lightings have yellow undertones, cool undertones, etc....
