Sounds controlling so no. Most of my friends are males and having friends is important. I would be concerned with the lack of trust if my man felt that I should not be allowed to have male friends.

My ex was like this. He was extremely controlling, and it all started with things like this. Such an unhealthy relationship. I didn't see this until a few years down the road. That's not okay in my book. My husband and I don't even look at each other's phone. Although I know either of us would hand it over if we ever questioned anything.

Nope. That's controlling and scary and bad. I don't think it's okay if he does it too, because that shouldn't be an expectation from either person in the relationship. It's not healthy.
