Self-esteem issues before or during sex?

Did any of you suffer from self-esteem issues before your first time during sex or during it? I'm a virgin and I'm in a pretty serious relationship and he's made sexual advances towards me multiple times (we were interrupted each time 😂), and I'm extremely nervous about what he'll think of my body.  I've always been self-conscious and I hate it. How did you overcome your self-consciousness?

I had to have sex in the dark for a long time because my ex husband would ask me why I didn't look like the poem stars he watched and when I was pregnant he would say things like whats up with pregnant women get so fat and covered in scars

I didn't until I was completely relaxed with my bf, like I know he is with me for the long term, I know he loves me for me (and what he has seen of my he likes) etc but originally we decided we weren't going to have sex until we got married... We lasted nearly 8 months haha so we did other stuff so he had already seen a lot of me just not all at once... And now he has seen me completely exposed and gives me compliments and says how much he likes it.. It has made me feel beautiful and sexy etc insecurities are still there and some days are worse than other but if you're in a good relationship and our trust him and you are actually ready then go for it! Just at your own pace, good luck and enjoy! 😊😊
