How long should a couple be together before marriage?

So my boyfriend and I have been together almost 6 months.. It don't seem long but it does to us considering we see each other every single day and hangout. We recently talked about it, we are both 18. I already feel like we are married. He's the best❤️

For me it needs to be at least 2 years. 6 months in the relationship is still very new. The first year is all kinds of firsts, and everything is different, you are both still on "good behavior". If you are thinking you may want to marry him, that's great, but there is no need to rush it.

When you're both ready you'll know. If that's now then great. Personally I would've married him a long time ago but I've always said you need to have your own place before you even consider asking. I don't want to be living at my parents house and him at his while we're engaged. That's super weird for me.

From a lot of studies it suggest 2-4 years. I was with my husband for four years almost five when we got married. I am really glad we waited that long because we got to know each other and go through somethings I would rather have gone through as a regular than to do it while being married in my opinion.

I personally think 18 is pretty young to get married. I got married after seven months of dating. We were together dating for four months, had to distance then he said I'm sick of not being near you, I want to get married. So we did. we were 23 at the time. It all depends of the circumstances but I think 18 is young.

Depends on the relationship, but 6 months is still very early, especially at the age of 18. I got with my boyfriend at 18 as well. It's been almost 4 years now and we're still growing up and learning about each other. I would say wait a few years before thinking about engagement  because I've seen many young couples fall apart after a year or two because they begin growing apart. People change and sometimes it can't be helped. Remember how you feel right now and think of that when things get tough, if the both of you are willing to work together to keep the relationship strong then you'll be good for the most part. More importantly though, it's when you truly feel ready, I personally like taking things slow, so my boyfriend and I are waiting until we finish our education before even moving in together. Keep your priorities straight and establish goals for yourself as well as for your relationship.

I'm engaged, and my fiancé and I were only dating for 8 months when we got engaged, but he's still in school and I just graduated, so it's not like either of us are really in a position to plan a wedding. We just wanted to take that next step ( our rings aren't even real ) in our relationship. We'll have been together one year next month.

Honestly, I think it just depends. People wait and fall out of love, and some people rush into it and they grow old together.

Just remember that relationships are way more than the happy days, the lovey dovey days. You get annoyed and sick and cranky. For me, they need to experience me at my lowest and worst to ever know if we could be together.

My SO and I are actually celebrating our 1 year today. I think marriage is a stupid concept, personally. A piece of paper is not going to change my feelings for him, or the intensity of our relationship... We plan on having a pagan style moment between him and I... Idk lol

I would say 2-4 Years. I have been with my boyfriend over a year and we talk about marriage but we know that we don't want to even get engaged for a while and closer till I am done with college. Hun I know you are in love and y'all are definitely in the honeymoon stage yet. 6 months is not enough time before you get married. You guys don't truly know everything about each other yet.
