Your opinion on Couple Tattoos?

I personally think they're cool and fun ONLY if you don't put a distinctive name/date or God forbid a portrait of them. If it's something that matches that looks okay on its own then by all means, but be careful cause it's a big reminder of that person if you break up. What do you guys think?

My fiancé and I want to get tattoos together on our honeymoon. His will say "moon of my life" and mine will say "my sun and stars." It's a game of thrones reference ☺️

Me and my wife have 4 matching tattoos together including each other's names. If we weren't to work out they all still have significant meaning to me and the name could easily be covered. I love them though. I don't think a tattoo is a kiss of death. If you're in a crappy relationship anything can be a "kiss of death". We're almost 6 years strong, married for 1 year, and have a 3 month old son.

I have a love hate relationship with matching tattoos.

For me tattoos are a spiritual and intimate statement that reveals hidden messages that will only be shown if I reveal myself to you. (Hence why all my tattoos are placed on the inside not to be exposed to all). Meaning you will never truly know me until I reveal myself to you.

So if I place a matching tattoo on my body for someone else. I have to love that person beyond stars and know that we are connected as one w the universe.

I don't have any tats, but my first BF/ex got a tat of my face on his calf AFTER I dumped him. Like. A BIG portrait of my face. 
Talk about weird and creepy.

But I could easily see myself getting a tat that represents a loved one. My SO wants to have some larger tats and has mentioned wanting to slip in a symbol that represents us/me. I'd do something small and strategically placed to be almost invisible. An "our little secret" thing.

I'm not big on portrait tattoos of any kind really, but that's just a personal preference. As far as 'couple' tattoos, I try not to judge people on the 'superficial' nature of their ink, as it's their body and they can do whatever they want. But to say that I'm generally against 'couple' tattoos would make me a hypocrite. 
I already have 2 tattoos in relation to my relationship with Husband. I will be acquiring at least one more, which is one that Husband will design and place and will incorporate his back tattoo. But that one, all three really, are less 'couple tattoos' and more marks of branding and ownership. 
On the other hand, Husband, Wife, and I are planning a matching triforce tattoo in gold to represent our Triad. We probably won't get it done yet, as we want to all get it at the same time, and Wife isn't in a position to out herself right now. But it's definitely in the works.

I personally wouldn't get my dudes face tattood on me... We have a few that are similar but we didn't want anything exactly matching... But to each their own, I love all tattoos...
