Hi all.

I recently found I am pregnant after 10 long months! So excited! We are over the moon!

I then came across an article which really suggested that august baby or any summer born (may -aug) are seriously disadvantaged academically as they will be some of the youngest in their class. In the UK the school year goes sept to aug. The articles have made me feel like I have already made life harder for my child by the month they were born and I already feel such guilt. I know it’s 5 years away and I can do so much to help but my god these articles just make me feel so mad and upset

Anybody have any reassuring or positive stories that could put my mind at ease? xx

I know there are so many factors, family life, what I do with them, how much I teach them, having a loving home etc so i am trying not to worry about it. But I would hate to think that teachers and school just assume my child would struggle more because they are the youngest and not give them the support they require
