Hey guys! I’m just wondering if anyone can share their experiences with provera, particularly any side effects they experienced!

I have been taking estradiol transdermal gel for 2 months to treat hypothalamic amenorrohea, and have now been prescribed provera to give myself a bleed to prevent the buildup of my endometrium. I’ve read the side effects and have really scared myself. I suffer from anxiety and have my 21st birthday coming up in the next week, so I really don’t want to be experiencing mood swings/breakouts/panic attacks/facial hair growth etc!

I know that without the provera there is a greater risk of endometrial hyperplasia and therefore endometrial cancer, however I only have a month left on the estradiol treatment, and therefore feel that it is very late to be prescribing the progesterone anyway.

Please let me know what kind of symptoms you all experienced!!
