So I'm getting the Mirena IUD place in the morning. I'm super excited about it but I'm still freaking out about it. I'm 23 and have never been sexually active and I've always told myself for personal reasons I wasn't going to ever go on birth control but I ended up reading about the different forms of birth control on Planned Parenthood and speaking with my doctor and just decided to get it done. It's a reversible form of birth control and I'm taking care and control of my own body. I'm also lucky enough to have insurance that will cover it.

Update I got it!!! So far so good a little bit of spotting so far but I didn't feel any pain. My GYN let me stay a few minutes after he was finished. It kind of felt like I had a tampon in just because he had just basically been all up in there a few minutes before but that feeling went away once was up and walking!
