Does God really answer all prayers?

Question

I know the bible says he will give you anything you ask if you believe in him (if it honours him of course) But I have been really praying and believing for something I have been working hard for aswell that only seems to be getting further away? And this thing is honourable to God. 
Please give me some encouragement.

God answers ALL prayers.
Sometimes, He says yes and gives us what we ask.
Sometimes, He asks us to wait, because the timing isn’t right.
Other times (and these are my favorite), He says, “No... I HAVE SOMETHING SO MUCH BETTER!”

Remember that God sees the ENTIRE picture. We only see that right in front of us. He loves us more than we can comprehend! So yes, God answers ALL prayers- He just may not answer the way you expect.

I just read a Psalms, I believe yesterday or the day before that God is never late, and he’s never early, but He’s always on time.  Even though we wait a long time for answered prayers, God knows what’s best for you and when to give you what you have been asking for.  Our human nature sometimes hinders is because we are used to instant gratification, but God wants us to wait, be patient and continuing praying fervently for the things we want.  Also, sometimes we forget about Him, only focus on asking for what we want, rather than praising and worshipping first.  The Bible also says that we should check out spiritual check list because there may be something hindering our prayer, for example: lying and deceitfulness, bad marriage, not reading the word or even going to church and listening to the word, etc.  I hope this helps somehow. God answers all prayers in one of three ways: Yes, No, or Wait. I always try to remember Hess words from CS Lewis when I find myself waiting: “I’m sure God makes no one wait unless He sees that it is good for him to wait”

He DOES NOT listen to all prayers. Some prayers displease him. 
Matthew 6:7 “When praying, do not say the same things over and over again as the people of the nations do, for they imagine they will get a hearing for their use of many words.”
He also doesn’t listen to the prayers of those who WILLFULLY disregard his commandments and biblical laws. Proverbs 28:9 “The one refusing to listen to the law
—Even his prayer is detestable”.
Back in the days of the Israelites, God reused to listen to their prayers because they were doing bad things, this proves that he doesn’t listen to prayers of wicked people. Isaiah 1:15 “And when you spread out your palms, I hide my eyes from you. Although you offer many prayers, I am not listening; Your hands are filled with blood”.
So for our prayers to be heard by God, we must do what pleases him and follow biblical commands as best as we possibly can.

The Bible does not say God gives believers anything they ask for. We are meant to pray for his will to be done, not use prayer to get our way

It may be hard because it seems like God is not answering your personal prayer but trust me on this that if it seems like that now then what He's actually doing without you noticing is so much more greater. He's working on you and He is increasing your spiritual growth by making your pray constantly about this so that when what you asked for appears, you'll be ready for it and you & the people around you will realise the change in you. He's just preparing you for this. It may seem like the longest wait or a no right now but soon enough what you want, will come and it will be BIGGER & GREATER than what you asked for

I believe He does answer all prayers even though it may not be in the way we would have it. I prayed for something that was taking place in my life for 12 full years until I saw what the Lord had planned for that situation. We truly are on His timing. He knows your heart. Don’t stop seeking❤️

I truly believe that God gives us what we need when we need it. If it’s not going to bless your life in the long run, I don’t believe He will give it to you. I’m not sure what you’ve been praying for but I believe that if it’s meant for you, you will receive it but of course, when the timing is right.
The lead pastors of my church prayed and tried to conceive for 8 almost 9 years and are now finally pregnant with healthy twins. All of that time spent before was in prayer and waiting and preparation for what was to come. 
And honestly, there’s things I wanted at one time that I’m so glad God didn’t give me.
