Hookah while breastfeeding ?

I haven’t had a night out in forever .. was thinking about things to do and I haven’t been to the hookah lounge in years ! But is it okay if I go out and smoke it a little and come home to nurse my baby through the night ? I’ve never put any thought or research into this and I genuinely  don’t know the effects so no rude comments please 😭

Just keep in mind a hookah has the same amount of nicotine as a whole pack of cigarettes, so be sure to only have a little. Especially since nicotine can keep you awake and you don't want that passed on to baby during the night nursing!

If you're talking about one that just has tobacco in it (no marijuana), then you should be fine. Just make sure you wash your hands, face & change clothes before you cuddle & nurse baby. If it has marijuana in it, then you need to do more research & make your own decision on that one (there is evidence that thc passes into breast milk). Enjoy your night out!
