When did your first stop using a pram??

Question

I am due baby no 2 in 17 weeks and my oldest will be 2. Just wondering if anyone has any experience or idea of this age gap when it comes to prams? My oldest is a really good walker and wants to walk everywhere but I tend to go on very long walks so he gets tired quite quickly. I am thinking at the moment of buying a double pram but not sure if it's worth the money if we wont use it for long

I bought a cheaper double stroller for the times it will be long treks and have my good single. My kids are just under two years apart and my older child prefers to walk. This summer they will be three and one and I don’t expect we will need the double stroller because she can use a scooter or tricycle.

You could get one of those ride along things that attaches to the back for the older one to stand on!  I have a four and a half year old and still use my stroller for when we have to walk to the grocery store. She sits there walks home. Or if we go to the park in the summer. Its a 20 min walk to our park so when she uses all her energy there it takes too long to get home haha.

It depends on your kid but my mom used a stroller up until we where around 5 for things like going to the mall or to the park or state fair Disney places we would have to wait or walk a lot or if there was a chance of us falling asleep

I plan to baby carry the infant and keep the 2 year old in the stroller.  The 2 year old also loves the carrier so once I’m recovered for c section I’ll probably switch off who gets carried if it’s a long walk and he can’t walk himself.  He likes being carried so hopefully this one does too.  You never know with kids personalities.  I like my ring slings and my buckle carrier for the 2 year old.  I have a moby wrap for an infant.

Still uses it here and there when my oldest is 3 years and 2 months old, but he prefer to walk/run. Only wants to sit when it's really long walks.

Once my kiddo could walk he never wanted to ride in the stroller again 🙄
We have a $500 BOB stroller that we’ve used less than 10 times.
