Can’t get baby to sleep at night 😩
Hello mummies. My darling girl is 7 months old on 20th April. She is my third baby, first girl. She is exclusively breastfed and is now on 2/3 meals a day as she has taken to food well. She is napping about 3 times a day for around 45mins to an hour depending on what we are doing during the day but nighttime is horrendous. She has gotten much much worse over the last month as she used to do 4/5 hour stretches but now she wakes every hour to 2 hours. I don’t know what she wants as she isn’t hungry. I will still feed her about 2/3 times during the night in stretches so not on every wake up but I’m struggling to cope as I have a 5 year old and 2 year too and need to be able to function during for day! I’m going back to work in a few weeks and I leave at 5.30am and work 10 hours shifts so I’m terrified I’m going to fall asleep at work or worse, behind the wheel! She’s in her own room and I put her her down awake with a dummy so when I go in she just takes her dummy back and generally goes back to sleep but how can I teach her to do it without me!! My health visitor actually recommended crying it out as it’s that bad but I don’t want to do that as I don’t personally agree as she is so young and she also wakes my other children when screaming. I know she may not be sleeping through at this age but every hour is just so hard. Please any suggestions welcome from an exhausted mama 😣😴
