✨ Be Kind ✨

Kayleigh

Hi all, just a little post after I was quite upset after comments I got on a previous post (which I've now deleted) and also a post to remind people that bleeding during pregnancy CAN BE common/not always the standard period.

2 weeks ago a posted a picture of a pregnancy test, I had lots of lovely comments from people saying they also see the vfl. I took a couple more tests and all had vfl but no strong positive.

A couple days later I began feeling crampy and started bleeding. I put a post out saying I thought I was having a chemical. On this post I had comments from people saying they had looked at my other post and think it was an indent/I wasn't pregnant, others said chemical, others said call doctor/go to a&e, others said not to go to A&E as it wasn't an emergency, it was likely just a period. In these comments they were very condensending and felt like the faint lines etc was all in my head.

If you're from the UK you'll know at the moment it is near IMPOSSIBLE to get a doctors appointment even over the phone. I initially tried calling the doctors when I began bleeding however couldn't get through. I didn't want to go to A&E as I did feel like it was all in my head and I'd be sat there for 8 hours waiting to be seen just to then waste emergency services time to then be sent home. I ended up giving up and assuming it was just my period and faint lines were just in my head.

Today, I still felt like something was off so when I put my son down for his lunchtime nap - I took a test. Within 30 seconds I got a clear faint line. It was definitely there but still faint. I tried calling my doctors surgery with no avail. I then emailed them.

2 hours later I got a call back from the senior of women's health telling me that my faint lines and bleeding can be a sign of:

Carrying twins and miscarrying one

Carrying a healthy pregnancy

A chemical/miscarriage of a single pregnancy

An ectopic

A miscalculation of dates

And also another scenario which I've forgotten.

I questioned the faint lines and she said if I got a faint line on more than one test (which I have) then it is more than likely there is HCG meaning some sort of pregnancy.

I also questioned the bleeding and she said she has seen plenty of pregnancies that have bleeding throughout.

I'm booked in for a scan where I'll hopefully get more answers.

I felt the need to post this as there was one person on my previous post who completely shut down the possibility of any sort of pregnancy and I've noticed she's done this on a lot of people's posts daily.. It can be misleading and I'm so glad I retested today otherwise this would've gone unnoticed.

Anyway.. Rant over. Please remember most of us are TTC so approach the situation a bit kinder/not so brutal and blunt.

Baby dust to you all ❤️
