Im seeing a lot of people bading around the hook effect as reasons not to test/or lines being faint. The hook effect is very rare. End of. If people hadnt told me in my last pregnancy not to test as the hook effect would worry me, then i would of tested and i would of realised my baby was dead. Instead i found out a fortnight later :( please if you feel your hcg isnt going up as it should go and see a doctor dont ask ppl on here. Ive just done this test to demonstrate tht the hook effect doesnt happen often. Im 18 weeks with a strong kicking little boy
