We have a 13 week old puppy, we’ve had him for 5 weeks. He is so cute. However he still never listens. The two main problems we have is he wants to chew everything, and he wants to bite (mostly me). Every time he starts chewing something I give him a toy and he’ll sometimes start chewing the toy and I will praise or reward him. But it only lasts about 30 seconds before he starts going back to what he’s not supposed to chew. And I’m talking about furniture so I can’t just move it or something. Now it’s gotten to the point where I shout “no” very loud anytime he does these things and that only makes him mad and try to bite me more. But then I still try and give him his toy and praise him but then I feel like he just hates me. Sometimes I give him time out in his kennel but I try not to unless he is just going crazy. Please help we are dying over here haha. I want to train him better and I know he is still young but it takes so much energy out of me and I hate feeling like he hates me. He can do basic commands just fine so it’s not like he isn’t capable of listening or learning.
