I need help. So I grew up in a strict/traditional, unhealthy family where you weren’t allowed to do anything to shame the family. So at a age of 27 I started dating this guy which I love with all my heart. He is absolutely a great person. We are both very happy together. We decided that we want to live together, and I mentioned to my parents that I want to move with him. My dad sent me a very rude message saying I will not approve or agreeing on me living with my boyfriend. I got really upset so I decided to do what makes me happy. But my parents don’t know it. I do get rude messages from my dad but I don’t reply. Why should I keep a family like that?

I just need opinions on this and do you think I made the wrong choice? Thank you everyone
