Those worried about pregnancy...

Sophie

I’ve noticed a lot of older women on here who are sometimes quite quick to jump the gun and say “yes you’re probably pregnant!” “You’re irresponsible!!” Etc... and they can be sometimes be so rude

Did you know that healthy and fertile 15-32 year olds who have regular sex, only have a 15-22% chance of getting pregnant when they’re trying to conceive? And that’s if the guy cums inside you and you’re not on any form of birth control...

Birth control decreases your chances of being pregnant dramatically, by 80%-99.9% at least, yes there’s still a chance to get pregnant, however the chance is minuscule.

Many things can delay your period such as stress, loss of weight/gain of weight, hormone fluctuations, etc etc, that means that if you’re stressing about your period then it’s less likely to come because of how stressed you are, and can sometimes be weeks late! If you’re young and your hormones are still regulating in your body that can also make you late!

To all the scared young girls on here who are worried about being pregnant because something unexpected happened when you had sex.. try not to stress...

chances are that you’re not pregnant, in fact it’s extremely unlikely that you are.

If you’re period turns out to be one week late or two weeks late then of course, take a test, and talk to friends or family who are 16+ and will be able to help you!

However I’m here to reassure you that you’re probably not pregnant, you’re just worried.

And if it turns up that you are pregnant, there’s many options out there for you, such as abortion, or adoption, or if you’re 15+ and have a good support system you could raise it within your family as long as your family are prepared to support you!

Just know that it will be okay, and if you have any questions you’re better off asking professionals like a local sex clinic such as iCash in the UK, planned parenthood if you’re in the US, and other clinics who are completely confidential and don’t need parent permission for you to go to.

Another thing parents may try to do is tell you that you can’t go to those places alone, that parents HAVE to know about it, however this isn’t true. Some places may require you to be over a certain age, however usually if you’re 12+ then these places will allow you to go in by yourself, you don’t need a parent, and your parents don’t need to know. If you’re worried about going by yourself but don’t want a parent then ask a trusted friend or parent to come with you!

I hope I helped some of you guys :) just know that you’re okay and not alone, and if you ever get in any situation there’s lots of people who will help you, just try not to worry 💖
