Progesterone after miscarriage

Recently there was a news article saying that the UK will start to use progesterone for women who are pregnant after a miscarriage (I can’t remember the exact details of the article, need to look back). Just wondering has anyone had this conversation with their Dr?

I called last week and waiting to hear back from them. They were getting in touch with the gyno department but they said it via email so it wouldn’t be an immediate answer. I’ll call them tomorrow to gee them on a bit. Not even sure how it works. Do they only put you on it when you get pregnant or is it before that even happens? I had two cp this year so I’m not even sure if I’d be a candidate 🤞🏻

Kinda, when I was in the hospital at one point they got me to see the doctor that was on in the gynecology and early pregnancy unit. I expressed how I have been diagnosed with PCOS and he said then if I became pregnant they may have to put me on progesterone to prevent a miscarriage, but when I was in early pregnancy assessment when I was pregnant they never mentioned it and never tested my levels. I think if you've had miscarriages they should definitely offer it and test your levels to see if it's a contributing factor. They're offering aspirin to more women now as a precaution too, for many reasons, previous miscarriage, high blood pressure, high BMI, previous pre eclampsia etc
