So I’m thinking of getting an epidural when I can’t stand the pain much longer, my sister just gave birth 2 weeks ago and said the epidural isn’t like a needle inserted and then that’s it your numb for 6 hours, it’s actually patient controlled now. And you can press a button to ‘top up’ the pain relief when it starts to wear off.

Can a mama who has recently had a epidural in labour please confirm if this is what they had as well.

(This is a long shot) but even better if you gave birth at Basingstoke Hospital and had this ??
