Aggressive dog
I’m at my wits end. My partner and I adopted a dog 3 years ago and in the beginning it was great. I have a 5 year old samoyed that I brought into the relationship and she is so sweet. She’s wonderful and her and the adopted puppy got along well. Once our adopted dog got older she became extremely aggressive towards our samoyed. She has attacked her on MANY occasions. She latches onto her with her teeth and has left literal holes in our samoyed. I have never had experience with a dog like her. We have tried separating them, training them to be together etc. Our adopted dog can be so sweet and next thing you know she’s attacking our samoyed very bad. I have had my samoyed since she was a baby and I am SO upset that she is being hurt. All we wanted was for her to have a friend because she seemed lonely and it completely backfired. Anyway, my partner REFUSES to rehome her and putting her down is not an option at all for him either. My family has always said that if a dog bit a person (drew blood) or became aggressive that they needed to be put down. She has put HOLES in our samoyed, she has bitten me (had to get stitches) and once she tried to jump out of the window of our moving car because she saw a baby crying. We do not let our adopted dog around our samoyed at all anymore. We keep them in separate areas divided by a gate. I am terrified of her and our future with her. Please help, I don’t know what to do.
